Inspiration For Your Daily Spiritual Practice

Inspiration For Your Daily Spiritual Practice can be difficult, especially now as the world around us is moving so quickly. Finding time for meditation and other types of restoration for body, mind and spirit can be the last thing on our mind.

Here are some simple, ready to go ideas for keeping your Spirit aligned as you move throughout the day.

The simplest things, like taking a few very deep breaths when you wake up can start the Chi moving and energize your cells and your brain. Getting the brain and heart to wake up is a very important first step to having a productive and successful day. Do this before you get out of bed and hit the ground running.

Multi task a bit: Spending quiet time focusing on what you would like to receive in the current day can be part of multi tasking. Use your morning routine, such as brushing you teeth, showering or having your breakfast as a starting point for focus. Take that time to focus your mind - be mindful of your daily intention for ease and flow to happen, and for your daily goals to be achieved. Don't overload your intention calendar. Keep it simple. Once you learn and understand the power of your thoughts and intentions, you can begin making more changes. Simple is best when life is hectic.

Being open to receive is a necessary part of Spiritual Practice. We ask for things, but don't realize sometimes we are consumed by the mental plane and could miss opportunities as they come because we are not focusing on receiving what we have asked for. Having a relationship with Spirit is an amazing thing, but if we are not open to receiving messages and insight, then Spirit cannot give to us what we have asked for. This includes direction, opportunities or healing. Make sure part of your daily intention includes "I am open to receive what I have asked for". Keep negative thoughts out of your space.

As you go through your day, take a few minutes to breathe and remind yourself of what your intentions were for that particular day. Check in to see if you are still aligned in the positive movement of those intentions, or if you have become scattered in negativity or pulled away by the environment or people around you. Stop, and focus your mind for a minute or two on those positive intentions. Breathe.

Eating well and avoiding processed foods and too many carbs can also be helpful, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. Certain types of processed foods can clog the brain, creating the feeling of fogginess or exhaustion as the body tries to breakdown, process and digest these foods. Opt for clean, natural food whenever possible, and try to drink lots of water to keep your energy flowing throughout the day. One of the worst things is feeling depleted, exhausted or otherwise without energy as you try to get through the day. Caffeine and snacks are not the best choice for energy. Actually, water is the best choice. Water oxygenates the cells immediately, awaking the chi to begin moving again. Drinking water and taking deep breaths can energize you immediately. Many people gain weight trying to "energize" the body because the first instinct is to reach for food when energy is needed. But, before you consume unnecessary calories, try drinking 6 -8 ounces of water first. Adding lemon, cucumber and/or fresh ginger offers extra bonus. Keep it handy so you don't end up just grabbing whatever is available. Essential oils like peppermint or eucalyptus can also help. Essential oils are immediately absorbed and cross the blood barrier to the brain, waking up tired cells and helping focus to be regained. Just be sure you know how to use the oils properly.

Having a Daily Spiritual Practice is a powerful and inspiring way to move through life. Spiritual is defined as it relates to your needs, desires and life circumstances. whatever helps you to feel happy, healthy and loved, inside and out. Keeping mind, body and spirit healthy is the best way to approach wholeness and vibrancy. Passion and vitality can be restored by taking a few simple steps throughout the day to focus on your intentions.

One last thing to know, always clear yourself at the end of the day to release any unwanted negativity you may have attracted during the day. Yes, it is all energy, magnetic energy, and everyone gets charged with positive and negative energy. We often carry this around and don't realize it. Especially if you are the "it" person, the one everyone likes to talk to or unload on. You're a sponge for their stuff and it could be the source of your own negative energy or disruptive charges. Clearing is using a simple intent. Water is the best cleanse, drinking and bathing. Use essential oils or Sea salt in your bath to soothe and relax.

Continuing this type of simple practice will re energize your being and your life, restoring you to holistic health and happiness.
